It was 1976, and Charlton was slowly winding down it's run of new stories and art before switching over to an all reprint line. However, there were still some great books coming out, and this one was quite good, in the scheme of things.
The swashbuckling cover by Bob Hall really must've popped out on the spinner racks (it did for me , as I can clearly remember buying this when it came out and choosing it over a Marvel or DC).
The interior art is no less impressive, with stories by Ditko, Charles Nicholas &Bob Layton, and Dick Piscopo!
The letters page features illustrations by Sanho Kim, Pat Boyette, and a third artist I have yet to identify.
The third, "mystery" artist is Fred Himes.
ReplyDeleteah yes...now that it's been pointed out, I can clearly see it!
